The bed arrived yesterday and I LOVE it!
First, brilliant idea to place all the components inside the headboard (zippered compartment in the back) / delivery consisted of one, very large flatt/ish box. It was HEAVY, too, because everything was in there, but, fortunately, the kind UPS delivery guy muscled it into the bedroom for me.
Assembly was very easy / took me a little over 30 minutes with my 4 year old grandson helping me. One thing to be sure to do is look through the ENTIRE assembly pamphlet BEFORE you start putting the bed together / that would have saved me having to re/loosen some screws I should have left alone until the sides were put on. Everything fit together as noted on the diagrams, and the bed feels nice and solid so far. Mattress (also purchased from ) arrives today so we shall see.
The look and quality of this bed is way beyond what the price would indicate. The upholstery is beautiful (charcoal gray) and beautifully done. Detailing is very nice, and the lines are sleek, yet softened by the upholstered material. The metal frame is a good weight, attaches firmly to the head and footboards, and feels very solid. There are two side rails for each side (from the headboard to the middle cross piece and from the footboard to the middle cross piece), so I anticipate no sagging in the middle of the bed.
I like this bed so much that when I get back to my principal home (this was purchased for a second home), Im going to order another! I have been looking for years for something like this / smaller scale yet elegant looking. I am so pleased to have finally found the perfect item!
