Background: 31 yr old white male with a military background. I searched through hundreds of bedroom sets before settling on this one based on price, reviews, and checking out the companies. I had a woman I trust with style/fashion w.e it is called help narrow the search by getting rid of anything she deemed ugly or not suited for my decorating needs.
.The set showed up on time, in tact and looks a lot better than I expected. This was the perfect buy for my taste and price range. I think it looks way better than the picture gives it credit for. I was vary wary of the leather headboard as I thought it was the one thing keeping me from buying this. When it showed up I was relieved at how nice it looked when it was in my room. The whole set (minus parts of the bed) feels extremely sturdy and solid. The nightstands and dresser came complete inside the boxes. You just take the item out of the boxes and remove some packing stuff and voila ready to go.
That being said, I obviously docked a star for something right? Yes, yes I did.
The reason is two fold. First, the bed has some very flimsy pieces of wood and fiberboard for the drawers and the slats. One of the rails broke off from the foot of the bed as I was putting the drawer in. There is a little piece of wood that connects that rail to the foot of the bed. It is held in by what appears to be 2 tiny staples that just pulled right out. Second, like most furniture these days, I am not a fan of the cheaply made drawer bottoms or the rail system used with them. I used a couple drywall nails and some gorilla glue to fix it.
Minus the drawers, slats, and rails being a bit on the flimsy side... This set is very well built and sturdy. I definitely feel like I got what I paid for and more. If this had cost me 5k+ like some sets, I would rate it very poorly as I would expect every piece to be of the utmost quality.
TLDR: If this set is in your price range I would recommend buying it. If you have a larger price range, do some research and find a bedroom set that doesnt even skimp on small insignificant things to put in your mansion. Thank you all for reading.
