I want to start up by saying the price I paid for this item last February 2018, was a fraction of the price its listed as now. I fee in love with the STYLE of this bed. I got it delivered and put it together almost without any issues. I was MISSING 2 bolts that held the headboard side panels on. It was purely cosmetic. The base of the bed doesnt attach to the side panels. So I didnt think it was a huge deal. I have been sleeping on the bed one year later. I dont have the extra weight of a box spring on this bed. HOWEVER...my middle support frame collapsed. The welding didnt hold the middle support beam up. So Im lucky my husband is a handyman. He drilled holes to hold the metal bar with legs into place with metal screws . He pierced through the wooden slats straight into the metal. So in other words, we slept in a concave bed until he fixed the metal beam into place. I did buy this bed for under 200.00 so I dont feel its a huge deal. But if you dont have a handyman nearby to perform favors for you. Its going to cost you money to fix. So weigh your options. Like I said before I only had the bed one year. It seamed very sturdy when we assembled it. So I didnt ever think it would collapse in the middle. But now at least some people can have this comment as a warning. I will add though, after getting into a car accident and suffering from a terrible back injury. I do lay in bed a lot more often then the average joe. Nonetheless, beds should be stable enough for one person for longer than a year.
