This bed is sturdy, beautiful, and does not squeak. For the Trundle I purchased a 6 mattress which is perfect for the roll movement...anything higher will not allow the smoothness of the roller movement. I GOT what I paid for! The gentleman who assembled my bed because the assembly is time consuming with lots of parts...I got to tell ya... he did a heck of a JOB!!
