I bought this for my boys with the thought of having the ability to have either bunk beds or singles. The boys opted for singles and these still turned out nice. They are a nice espresso color and the husband put them together with limited complaint so I take that as a positive. I didnt hear much cussing and fussing and it only took him about 3 hours. Nice set. We also bought the white for our two girls and it is nice as well.
