My six year old had a big kid version loft bed with desk and it was terribly wobbly and very high up. I had little faith in this metal loft style bed. Im so happy I gave this bed a chance. If you assemble it correctly it is very sturdy. It is fairly easy to assemble.Its not super high but its well off the ground.the slide works beautifully. Just make sure you have a little clearance when they come down. You must purchase the little theme curtain set for the full effect!we went with the flower shop design and my daughter is under and on this bed constantly.Kmart has them on sale right now. I got the bed for 169 and the curtain set for 29. The bed looks small but remember is a normal twin size.
