This is the best bed frame Ive ever had. It is a nice neutral khaki grey color. Goes with everything. No squeeks, or rattles/ very solid. Assembly is absolutely a 2+ person job, but can be done in an hour and a half to two hours. The lift mechanism can be a little stiff on first assembling, but with a mattress on, an adult can easily lift and lower with a little effort. Excellent storage space. Comes with a removable bottom for storage so you dont have to put thing on the floor. We chose not to use the bottom however, which allows for just enough clearance for clear plastic totes.
And this bed saved us from having a home robbery turn out much worse. We store our fire proof safe box under our bed, which holds important documents like passports, birth certificates, Social Security cards and about 1000 of emergency money. When our home was robbed, they went through every room and every drawer, taking countless valuables. It was devastating. But they did NOT look under the bed. Because it was not obvious that the bed lifted and the side panels go all the way to the ground, I assume they didnt know there was storage under there. And our safe box with all our sensitive documents and cash were spared. We were fortunate to have insurance that covered the stolen items. But without a doubt, identity theft and stolen cash would have taken this tragedy to another level and made things far worse for much longer. We are so thankful.
