I bought this chair for my 8y/o daughter for her room. The material is thick, the chair is sturdy but the upholstery came with this awful smell that I can only liken to the smell of body odor. Everytime I would go in her room I would wonder what that smell was and sure enough it was the chair. Even after several attempts of febreze and air fresheners the smell would not subside. After 3 months of having it I can now say the smell is finally going away slowly.
So overall the chair is beautiful, easy to put together, pretty sturdy, but that smell is the reason for the 3 stars.
