Great platform bed - I feel confident it is sturdy.
Shipping was great - arrived in a long narrow box that was somewhat easy to drag from the front door into the bedroom by myself. Instructions were very simple and putting it together made sense and everything fit together extremely well. Because of this, I am confident in it's sturdiness.
I have cement floors in my bedroom (my personal preference). Since very few floors are actually flat all the way across, I would recommend placing a rug underneath the bed. I placed folded up pieces of cardboard underneath the support legs in the very center of the bed just in case the floor was not entirely flat. I did not want to place undue pressure on any single unsupported point. The frame slides rather easily on the floor when you push against the bed - but that is not the fault of the bed - that is the fault of being placed on a cement floor. Again, a rug or felt pads would probably fix that problem for me and I will look into that.
I think it extremely unfair to give a product negative reviews simply because something might not work in my particular case. I imagine some reviewers would give a negative review because the bed slides on cement flooring, but that situation is not the fault of the bed. For the sturdiness of this bed, I think it is amazing. I also purchased a bunky board to go the opposite direction of the slats that were included.
