This is a good desk for the price. Overall, it looks good and serves its purpose. A con of this desk, in my point of view, is the weight capacity of the shelves. I needed extra shelf space for a printer/scanner and textbooks. Im afraid to put too many heavy textbooks on the independent shelves (shelves that have little sup, which are the bottom two and the top shelf) because they are already causing them to slightly bow downward. It would help if the independent shelves had at least one metal sup beneath them. Additionally, be sure to have an extra person handy when securing the shelves. I accidentally dropped the main shelf and broke a large piece of the backboard. But with a little determination and wood glue I was able to mend this complete fracture. But ultimately, this desk serves its purpose well for the price.
