GREAT for tiny rooms and a MUST/HAVE for storage space!

WHOA. Okay three major major things went into looking for a full bedframe for me: 1. Really high off the ground so I can store things under it 2. Didnt have additional legs in the center of each length or width (wanted 5/leg, not 9 legs) and 3. Wasnt going to make the creaky noises that I remember all too well growing up with a bed. This bedframe ended up meeting all of those! Firstly, wow this frame is sturdy! The pieces individually are lightweight, but they seem really strong and though I DONT recommend it, I was able to STAND directly on the part of the frame in order to fix my curtain rod a few times (my mattress isnt here so thats all I could do.) Im about 170lbs and while standing on the frame it did not waiver or rock around like my old bed wouldve. Its so solid!! I was also surprised after setting it up and moving it around a bit that its quiet and there are zero joint noises or creaks. That was such a big make or break point for me and originally I completely didnt want to shop for a frame because of it. I didnt even get to how easy it is to put together. I was super doubtful of the other reviews on how quickly they managed to get it together but for me it really took 30 minutes total. I remember when I put the first joint together I was like whoaaa, its the future. Lol. Because seriously! Why arent more beds like this? Im SO over nuts and bolts and tools only for the bed to squeak around and have a lot of give in the structure. Unfortunately, since my bed had to travel and be handed off a ridiculous amount of times to get to Hawaii (such is the pain of overseas shipping and ordering anything here: a longer route for mishaps to happen along) two of the male corner joints were ever so slightly bent. I wasnt able to get them to sit inside of the female connector until I took a plier and used a lot of leverage to ease it back and away from the frame. After that it was smooth sailing. When malleting, I used two hand towels over the area I was striking to help with some of the impact noise (this is the only part that *will* be loud). And after all was said and done, I managed like 7 large containers and 4 small ones under there. The most perfect containers are the clear Sterilite ones from Home Depot with the white cover and teal colored latches. Im telling you I have sooooo much stuff under there its ridiculous. That 16 clearance is an absolute lifesaver for small rooms. (Its 18 tall but the clearance is 16.) Its just an absolute must if youre working with limited space. So happy so far. Ill update after Ive been sleeping on it a few months!
