I had bought a folding metal bed frame before for my daughters apartment and I liked it a lot for not having to assemble anything and for the portability. But because it has many legs, the space underneath isnt very useful.
This time I wanted a simple, space saving, tall and sturdy bed to put a trundle bed or other items underneath. Initially I was looking for a wooden frame, but they were either not tall enough or on a wait list. So, I ordered this one.
Cons: I was disappointed to see rust stains all over the packing material as soon as I opened the box. I had to wipe clean the frames thoroughly to inspect the damages. The finish is very uneven (not attractive) and there are some rusty spots (luckily not where too visible).
Also, there are NO instructions/diagrams anywhere (no picture on the box either -- the tiny picture on is the only reference youll find), so you have to rely soley on your common sense when you put it together. Youll need extra hands and better tools to do the job better/faster.
There are extra holes on the legs (maybe for optional head/foot boards) that make the bed even cheaper looking in my opinion.
Pros: The frame is quite sturdy and makes no sqeeky sounds. The clearance underneath the bed is generous 15 3/4.
Overall, its not as attractive as I hoped and I regret for not buying a wooden frame instead (although they cost more and would have taken longer to receive).
Not as good as expected.
