It is exactly as described. Very firm and nice padding. It only took a few minutes to put together! The one side that was Preassembled kept making a clank sound when you sat down and there is a larger gap on that end so I’m not sure what’s going on with there but it might have just come loose during shipping, I’m hoping. Overall it a great couch for the price and perfect for smaller spaces
