The bed seems sturdy enough, but we had a few issues. The color we purchased is supposed to be black, however this bed is brown--somewhere between a deep cherry and espresso color. Also, all of the screws appear to be a brass color, when in the first image here they appear painted black. We dont like that the screws stand out so much. Customer service was great and reached our to us to see what they could do. We really appreciate that! This company puts customers first. Despite those cosmetic issues, we will keep this bed for our 18 month old (alternative to a toddler bed and he can grow into it). We think its a great piece that will last for years to come.
