This end table is a good fit and very close in color and finish to the pictures. I feel that this was money well spent and I would have a hard time finding anything close in a big box store for this price, I just dont think its going to happen. One downside is the wood is probably pine and its incredibly soft. I nicked a corner with my nail and it took a small chunk of wood and finish out and was very noticeable. I think that if youre careful with it, it can last a long time. If youre harder on furniture you may want to look elsewhere for something made of a harder wood like maple, walnut, etc. I feel that if you also put any kind of cup on the finish, it will be removed with moisture so I would recommend a coaster. While this doesnt feel of any artisan quality build, it does appear that care was put into the design and build and I would recommend it to people who are into this style who are careful with their furniture. If you have small children who bump into things quite a bit then this may not be for you.
