Comfortable, and looks nice too. I recently moved from a 3 bedroom house to a 2 bedroom condo. I didnt want to make the 2nd bedroom into a dedicated bedroom with a full-sized bed, so I needed something to sleep on when my kids and their families come home. I bought this piece because it turns from a chaise into a bed. It is a beautiful piece, but highly uncomfortable. If you intend to sleep on this piece, you will need to get a foam mattress to go on top during sleeping hours.
