The gears are not loud when the watches are turning so it wont really disturb you. It can only be heard when theres total silence and when youre closer to it. Theres four pillows in total for you to swap or replace them when they tear, theyre not made of leather. Cables/adapter feels like theyre made from lower quality materials but with this price, its a pretty good deal I guess. They can also run on batteries but I would recommend using the adapter if youre letting them run on a long run.
Edit: its been a few months and its starting to show some issues in the gear. When switched on, it lags and jerks while rotating. Gear dont seem to be moving as smoothly as it was from the beginning. Do reconsider purchasing it if youre going to be using it for long term.
