You get what you pay for applies to the Caribou bunk bed. The frame is ok but the mattress supports are poor. Made of used plywood of unknown origin (Vietnam? China?) the slats are roughly cut, full of large splinters, staples and old paint. I spent hours refinishing every slat to make sure our kids wouldnt get hurt. When assembled the slats bowed under the weight of a mattress with one child. I added a 1/2 plywood sheet to each bed for mattress support.
