Frame arrived in an obscenely well packaged manner, the styrofoam was even glued to the box to ensure that the contents stayed in place through shipment. Assembly was tedious, definitely smoother with two people and a second set of tools. Speaking of, you will need a Phillips screwdriver (not included), and the included wrench is one of the cheap ones so not too strong.
Once assembled, the frame is a little shaky even when everything is secured, so theres no fixing that. The holes didnt line up well, but honestly, that was expected. Up close the gold accents are a touch gaudy, they are plastic.
The frame does fit the mattress perfectly and provides support for a mattress. Unlike another canopy bed I have, this one will not accommodate a box spring (if desired).
