Love that I can use the beds separately or as bunks. They have held up very well to two rowdy pre/teen boys so far. Would suggest getting mattresses made for bunk beds instead of using ones you have, especially if its to be used by little ones. The top mattress is only 2 inches from the top of the rail if that. Product was easy to assemble and sturdy at a great value
