I love it, everything about it, if only it could somehow have arrived fully assembled and in my daughter's room. I estimate that on my own I could have assembled it in ~3 hours, but with the eager help of my 5 year old that stretched into about 5 hours. The rail for the big drawer at the base had the little connector ring that would bolt to the arm piece (Z I think) shorn off. I made due for now and for the most part she doesn't use that drawer regularly. I have covered up the sharp bits with some glue/foam. Other than that, this bed is amazing.
The first night that it was ready to sleep in she wanted me (~170lbs) to read to her in bed. I know it is rated for 225lbs and she is barely 40lb. It didn't squeak, or rock or give any indication that it was having issues supporting the both of us.
Add in the fact that sells compatible curtain sets and that there is plenty of space under the bed, it really means that, at least if you're a kid, you're not losing much square footage.
