Confused by Too smallreviews, perfect for 5 and 7!
Confused by all the bad reviews, very happy with this desk! Doing virtual this yr and need a workspace for a 7 and 5 yr old (2nd grade and kinder), purchased 2 of these. After reading reviews I was very skeptical on this working for the 7 yr old, knew it would work for the 5 yr old so put his together 1st with the idea we could return the other. Fits great, my only idea on all the bad reviews is a child on the hefty side probably wont fit well in the desk opening, I feel its made for an average size child. My daughter is 7 1/2, 2nd to tallest in her class with an athletic build, she has plenty of room for growth, shes not hunched over the desk in the slightest. At a min. this desk will work for another yr.
My husband put this together in less than an hr, even with the help of each child. One thing he did do that I would def recommend is using wood glue as you go, the extra reinforcement seems like it will come in handy.
Fits 5 yr old a little big, but he loves it and not so big its uncomfortable. Has plenty of storage, though the side handles are cupboards not drawers.
Gave 4 stars only because I do feel price is a little high for small press board desk, but I wasnt willing to pay top for a real wood one quite yet. Decent solution for what we need right now. Pics are showing the comparison to one of those (not sure of the brand) toddler/preschool age table and chairs.
