I ordered one of these back in April, also a, walnut, color so, once I saw it was of good construct, I ordered this one to go with the other as a set by using the, buy again, feature. Talk about disappointed. First off, there was a scratch on one of the tables, but it was in a location not to be seen so no big deal. However what WAS a big deal was this table was much darker in color. In plain words, the first table in, walnut, looked to be a light walnut and this table was most definitely a dark walnut.
OK, so, now Ive decided to send this back when I start reading what the seller wanted to be done to accept a return. The good news, there was a return mailing code so you didnt have to pay the shipping. The bad news was because this had to go through UPS, not returns, you had to send it in the original packaging (read box) which, after opening and checking the parts, was a mess to put back together. Moreover, it read if the packaging was missing or unavailable your return would not be processed. Additionally, this return could take over 30 days plus upon receipt the seller could still determine if the refund would be either full or partial.
Simply put, there were just too many hoops to jump through for all of this so I canceled the return and put this table in a back room.
So, why the 3 stars instead of 1 or 2 you ask? Well, as far as quality of construction both tables are very solid. And, although some have complained about the assembly instructions, I found it rather easy for both tables. I also noted all the parts were there. Considering a lot of these type furnitures are poorly made or missing parts/instructions, these tables were worth the purchase.
In conclusion, I think the problem is who ever makes this table doesnt do quality control when it comes to the color schemes used. That is, one scheme of, walnut, goes on a group of tables and when those are gone a second scheme is used that doesnt match. As such I would recommend two things:
First, dont buy this table unless the company works something out to make it Prime where a return is MUCH easier. My guess is they wont because a lot of people would be like me; too much hassle to return so they get to keep your money.
Second, if you need two of these buy them as a pair at the same time. We didnt because we had to wait on another piece of furniture first. That said, it probably wouldnt be 100 they match buying two at once, but you would have a better chance they do.
Just be aware
