This bed has been great for my 2 and 4 year olds. It went together easy and is very sturdy. I read that someone had an issue with their child falling through a gap or not having enough slats. We did not have either of those issues. Im thinking it is worth noting that a good mattress is needed in the to bunk. It doesnt have to be expensive. It just needs to not sag. The largest gap in the slats is about 4 on the very end. Nice color and easy to assemble
