Instructions say 2 or more needed to assemble. I Dont understand what theyre talking about. I assembled it by myself... quite easily. Also...bc reviews were warning buyers to remove a plastic plug, I almost busted the mechanism that raises/lowers the seat! No plastic plug on the stool stem except the one thats supposed to be there; so, leave it. You just have to get a feel for pressure on the lever. To lower the seat...sit on it lift the lever. Its super comfy classy looking! Very pretty stool.
