Got this bed for my son and built it yesterday. I will say one thing that threw me off right away was that even though all the pieces look good for the most part (except one of the long bottom rails was slightly warped and some had little nicks in it), one of the pieces literally had a bunch of sap on it. I ended up cleaning it off but not a nice surprise when taking it out of the box. It was a good amount, about four inches long on one piece. It was also not that sturdy with side to side movement, but plan on putting a screw into a stud once we get it exactly where we want and this will help a ton. One other thing as well is you build the whole thing with a cheap Allen wrench that about 3/4 of the way through it began flaking and the end began to not have solid edges so it made it hard to tighten. its difficult to put together.
