The overall unit is just ok. When assembled, the unit has large gaps that are obvious from a distance. Also, the shelf does not allow for the standard amount of cords needed for cable boxes and gaming systems. Some systems can barely sit on the shelf once their cables are attached (especially if you try to hide the cables behind the systems for a tidy look). After a lot of tweaking and adding our own solutions we have managed to hide the open seams and cables making the unit appear much better than it is. should not have been priced as high as it was
