My 9 year/old granddaughter wanted a loft bed. I insisted it had to meet the highest safety standards. This loft bed was the perfect choice. She has a small bedroom, so this bed gives her extra space and a desk, which she also needed. The desktop is already filled with her favorite things. We also bought a bulletin board and it is on the wall in front of the desk, giving her a place to display pictures and her drawings.
