Overall this bunk is perfect for what we need. I will say that despite everything assembling well, the screws to attach the ladder to the bed split the bed wood, making a chunk of wood bust off. I wish I hadnt screwed on the hooks, but just left the ladder hooked on by itself. I am very fulfilled
