When I originally set this mattress up and waited the 72 hours recommended before sleeping on it, I thought I had made a horrible mistake because the mattress was too soft and caused my back to hurt, however I went on vacation 2 days later and I was gone for 7 days. Let me tell you that was a game changer. I have slept like a baby. The mattress is nice and firm with the right amount of support. I think they should advise a longer period of time for the mattress to firm up and they would have fewer negative complaints about how soft people found the mattress. It is definitely worth the expense. I am not sure about how the temperature control works because I have a mattress pad on it as that is a habit I have whenever I purchase a new mattress as a protection for bugs as you never know what goes on in the manufacturing or staring process and I DONT DO BUGS, so better safe than sorry is my motto.
