Works well. Words cannot express how excited I was to get this bed. A year ago we got our first memory foam mattress and I was over the moon (or under, since I was happily sleeping in its light). But when we were getting a *king*/size bed, I was never happier.
I thought this was the same brand as one we had set up last year, but it was not. I also set up one by this brand earlier this week, but all in all the three platform beds Ive assembled have been the same. The shipping box comes with the headboard and everything else inside. It was a bit of a pain hauling it up three flights of stairs to our apartment, but we pulled through! I was afraid when opening it because some parts of the box had been torn through, but thankfully there werent any rips or anything.
Everything you need to assemble the bed is included. You really need only one hex wrench (I forget the exact size); it comes with one, but I used my own anyway. There are a few spare screws, but nothing else is spared. Im not sure who makes this bed; the included instruction sheet had Modern Essentials instead of , so could very well just be the supplier. Dunno.
Anyway, once everything was set up we were good to go. I assembled it by myself in about an hour. The only complaint I have, however, is that, like the same platform bed we have but without the headboard, this beds center peg doesnt sit on the floor all the way. Theres about a centimeter gap or so. When you lie on it it obviously goes down and touches the floor, but withumcertain movementyoure going to have that center bed bang on the floor repeatedly. Hopefully you dont have neighbors right under your bedroom!
The headboard isnt very high, but its fine for us since we stash stuff on top, like phones or water bottles, and that makes them more easily accessible.
Besides that uneven center peg, its a great bed so far, and is very easy to assemble.
