But it still works great. First, we are very pleased with this bed. Our child loves having the option of top or bottom.
Assembly can be frustrating. Some steps required two people.
The primary lateral supports for the top and bottom look very similar. There is about a 1 inch difference in their height. Make sure the support with more depth goes onto the top bunk!
1. Layout everything from the box by their number. Take the time to do this.
2. Spread out the hardware on a light colored cloth. I grouped them into a 4 count since more steps required that many.
3. Assembling the ends, pay attention to which side those little screws are drilled on.
4. Lateral supports; ensure the top and bottom are correct. You can easily verify this by (part K?) fully seats. Its the part on the top bunk where the side boards terminate.
Do not rush the assembly!
