I bought this cause the bed I have now is too big for my current room, so figured Id downsize a bit, and I already own other products, so I like some of the stuff they put out.
Things to know about this futon;
1. The first picture you see is not what youre getting, this needs correction in the product page. That ones got about a 5 or 6 inch memory foam cushion, the product youre actually getting is the one pictured below that one, with the 1 to 2 inch memory foam cushion, I think its closer to 2 inches once you let it breathe.
2. Its actually comfortable for me, I cant say whether itll be for you. Like mentioned above, its 2 inches of memory foam on top of wood. I would describe it like sleeping in a fluffy sleeping bag on top of the floor.
3. If you have back problems, its actually pretty good to sleep on. I have lower back problems myself, this is pretty darn good for folks like me. You can lay down nice and straight on it, its a wood bottom, so no curving. Its soft, but not so soft that you sink in.
4. The arm rests do fold up and down, just like the back piece. That looks pretty handy. I dont know if an adult could use that to adjust their sleep angle. Kids, definitely, but adult, I dont know if the hardware would handle our movements at night
Finally, if you need just a little more cushioning for sleep, you can easily add a foam bed topper on top. I dont require that, but just an idea if you find you need a little more foam
Im giving this a 4. If it had thicker memory foam like the first picture itd definitely be a 5
