Came much earlier than anticipated, like a week and a half! It was well packaged in a single box as advertised. Every part was in its own bag, instructions were easy to follow and to understand, however it took close to an hour, possibly a little more for my husband to put it together. And hes completed complicated ikea furniture for us not once before. The bed is light, but best moved with two adults rather than dragged in the room because of the framing. Pictured is a regular 12 Queen mattress. The bed is exactly to the measurements, no extra room for ease of putting on bedding. If you have a mattress less than 12, it will slide forward through the headboard because of the clearing before the headboard paneling begins. The headboard is a softer padded material, true blue color as advertised. The bed legs and framing are black. The slats for the platform bed style are on Velcro. No clearing underneath the bed whatsoever. Great low/cost option for the guest room. truly easy to install
