Simple to put together. My 23 yr daughter who is petite moved in with grandma into a tiny apartment loves it. Underneath she has a small table desk chair. Also room for plastic bins for stuff. However, she does use a tall ladder that leans up against ladder already there. It makes the whole unit much more steady.
