I gave it 5 stars for ease of build, which it is if youre paying attention to the pictures in the instruction manual. I wasnt looking carefully and ended up having to flip one of the pieces so that all the screw holes aligned properly. As other reviewers mentioned the hex tool that is supplied is made from very mild steel and will round out by the time youre finished. I was even careful to not fully tighten/torque all the screws until I was completely finished and the tool still rounded out, but I got the job done.
Once built the desk is very sturdy with no lateral movement in any direction.
The packaging was excellent with plenty of styrofoam between the pieces to keep everything from shifting and scratching during shipping. I received the box and all the pieces without any damage. I can only assume that the factory uses the same bag of screws for multiple items as I had a few extra bolts the didnt fit anything and no mention of them in the manual. Overall Im very satisfied with my purchase and will not hesitate from buying this desk again.
The two drawers are more like fabric bins that fit very snuggly into the slots. They were definitely not designed for constantly opening and closing but are fine for holding extra office supplies that youll only access occasionally like an extra pen or notepad.
