They come together in pieces in the same box.
Get out the base.
Attach a pole to the base.
Put the 4 bolts into the bottom of the chair attaching the 2nd pole to the chair base.
Then put the chair and pole into the base pole. ( 2 poles in total )
done.
Really comfortable, and looks like leather even though it isnt.
