These stools have a superb hydraulic system. Its operated smoothly, yet its strong and sturdy. I got this to pair them with a set of real wood ones made by the same company. However, I did not like that much the simulated wood in something that feels like a rubbery film. Attached a second picture of the real wood surface for comparison purposes. They do feel a little bit more comfortable than the wooden ones probably because of the seat design and finish. But I prefer the real wood ones. The stools are ok, just wonder how durable is the chair, too much plastic. They are very easy to assemble. Please make sure to remove the plastic cap before assemblying the hydraulic post. I forgot this time ( have assembled a few and never made the mistake). If you do make the mistake is not a big issue. I used a big flat screwdriver and pressure on it to get it off because it gets stuck inside the post and the lever would not work the hydraulic properly.
