This is definitely a two-person job to put together. The Allen wrench they give you is mostly enough for what you need to get everything done although I might recommend a rubber mallet if youre having some trouble getting pieces to fit into other pieces. (We ran across that problem.) If youre assembling this platform and plan on putting it in the corner of a room I recommend leaving some space between the bed and the wall for when youre assembling it, especially when youre laying out the wooden slats that are kept uniformly apart by velcro. We have a Nectar mattress and it fits pretty well on this platform. my only complaints so far are that the metal bits have a tendency to be a bit noisy from time to time and the velcro that keeps the wood slats in place can sound absolutely terrifying in the middle of the night if youre getting up and shifting your weight from one side to the other because its pulling away from the opposite velcro strip and makes a ripping sound. So just be prepared for that. It doesnt seem to be as much of a problem after using it for a while. But it does still happen sometimes when you least expect it.
Make sure you have LOTS of space for assembly
