I assembled this desk by myself in about 1.5 hours, but I imagine two people would make the job easier and quicker.
The Ikea desk I originally wanted for working from home during the pandemic sold out before I could order it, so this desk was my second choice. That being said, Im not the least bit disappointed with it! Its extremely sturdy, doesnt wobble at all (even on the area rug in my office), and has great storage and surface space. The metal frame gives it strength and a bit of an industrial style, which keeps it from feeling cheap or poorly made.
I have ample space for my laptop, upright stand, keyboard, and mouse, with plenty of room left to safely place my mug, notebook, etc. without having to worry about knocking things over or off the desk. I have a power strip and a foot rest set up under the desk, and theres plenty of space for those while still enabling me to sit properly and reach my keyboard.
I have storage boxes from Ikea set up on the shelves to store miscellaneous things, which Id purchased when I still intended to get the desk from Ikea, but they fit perfectly on the shelves of this desk! My yoga mat fits perfectly on the top shelf (and therefore out of reach of my cat, who loves to shred them).
The desk was well-packaged, no nicks or broken parts, but understandably heavy (just under 90 lbs), since everything is in one box. I was given a four-day window for delivery, but received it sooner than expected. All the hardware was included and clearly labeled, and the instructions were easy to understand.
Despite this desk not being my original choice, Im very pleased that this is the desk I ended up with!
