I am really impressed with the quality of this platform bed. I have always purchased furniture from , since I dont like to spend a lot on furniture that may not move with me. I was looking for a platform bed that would allow me to easily make the bed (my beds have a bit of recess that makes tucking sheets a pain to do). I also wanted it to be made of wood that was raw pine or appeared similar in color to raw pine, given that my other bedroom items are raw or varnished pine. This bed fit the bill!
It was packed well. The flat/packed materials were easy to remove and carry upstairs in pieces (the box for a Full was ~66 lbs, so a bit unruly to carry up steps) and there was minimal waste. A few contained styrofoam pieces and some thin foam sheets were all I had to throw away.
The hardware was sealed up and labeled well in the instructions. It was actually logical, unlike and other flat/pack furniture; the bolts came in 3 sizes, and were labeled S, M, and L. Really easy assembly instructions//its 16 bolts in the legs, 10 bolts in the smaller support legs, and 8 bolts holding the crossbar anchors in place. The slatted base came in 2 sets of slats, so its not unruly; the sides of the slats are held with hook/and/loop strips, which adhere to the strips on the bed frameGENIUS! I always worried about the slats sliding sideways when moving my mattress in the past, but no longer.
The wood is solid and fairly uniform in color. The quality is really good! I have purchased MDF furniture for more than this bed, with way worse quality. No wobbles or squeaks (theres no metal touching metal, no springsso silence with a foam mattress!) and enough clearance under the frame to put some clothes storage and the like.
Overall, a really solid purchase. I am not going to leave this one behind on my next move! Perfect.
