For an informal (exotic?) look, these are dandy folding chairs. They are not too heavy to carry around, fold and unfold smoothly and they are rated for up to 400 lbs. Unfortunately, they come so minimally packed that their sturdiness causes them to scar and chip each other a bit. This is not a chair to use with the silk stocking set. Seems to me they are good for the price...but not the answer for your catered lawn party.
