It was time for our boys to stop sharing a bed and this seemed like a good solution. There are some major flaws in the design that would be so simple to fix. Not sure why the manufacturer doesnt fix them.
1. The ladder is not reversible. We were forced to position them differently than planned and they now scrape the walls. My mistake for not checking, just seems like the 4/5 extra drill holes to make it interchangeable would be easy and a HUGE design enhancement.
2. As many others mention, the bottom needs reinforcement to support a matress. The slates are too far apart and putting a matress directly on them is useless. Another thing that could easily be fixed.
They look nice, but scrape and scratch insanely easy. They will not look nearly as nice after a week of my boys on them. Also a little lower than the under bed dressers on the market. Im having a really hard time finding one that will fit under. Another inch in height would go a long ways. Maybe two inches. I dont think they were worth the price, but the boys are excited about them, so. Sturdy for light items.
Has some silly flaws
