After much research, this item seemed to be the best box spring replacement. It was easy to put together and is very strong. My brother/law loved the additional firmness due to the frame.

It is low profile (4 high). It can be used to raise low profile platform beds. Good replacement for bunky boards.

Cons:
The queen frame is smaller than my bed frame. The width needs 2 and height needs 3 more. If you have wood slats, this works perfectly. If you dont, this frame will fall through your bed.

My wife did not like the original box spring because it made the mattress too tall. When we moved, she had the movers toss the box spring before I could object. She thought the horizontal hardwood slats would be sufficient. Several of the slats broke when one 200lb person laid down on the mattress. Value for money.
