Excellent foundation! My husband put this together quite easily; the included ratchet helped immensely. I have it on a wooden queen/sized platform bed, and it sits on the inside edges. There were already some slats on the bed and I didnt remove them before putting this down. Without this foundation, it was very difficult for me to make the bed. The mattress used to sit on the inside edge of the bed frame and Id have to lift it up a few inches in order to tuck in sheets and blankets // hard to do with a bad back. With this foundation, the mattress is no longer buried inside the bed frame and I can make the bed without much lifting. I thought Id need a non/slip pad between foundation and mattress but its not necessary. The weight of the mattress seems to prevent it from slipping and sliding. The bed has 2 center legs but theres really no weight on them now. Its a guest room bed and has a traditional spring mattress on it but it has made the mattress so much more stable than when it was on a box spring on a different bed earlier. My son loves it!
