not especially strong and they were delivered on the porch.

Once my husband put them together we placed them in our garage. The real
rating is because they offer a comfortable enough seating, my husband sat down to adjust the antenna on our TV and he wound up staying in the garage a long time. He had to be comfortable.
The fabric is very pretty but we have felines, Ive covered them with decorative blankets. Scratch proof.
They seem sturdy and front to back is a nice space. I chose these because our alotted floor space was limited, no arms is perfect.
He said assembly was easy. They are keepers.
