I bought this because it matches my décor but it is not designed for a practical setting. I had to modify it because 1. I did not hearing back from the seller for over a week after asking for a return 2. Being 90 assembled, the 300 it cost just wasnt worth more effort and most importantly 3. Because I have the ability and the resolve to do so. It took me two days to assemble. Not entire days, I have a life too but a lot of time was wasted because the instructions were THE MOST CONFUSING instructions I have ever tried to follow. The pieces were not marked well. Orientation was difficult to grasp having only small poorly drawn pictures to rely on. Parts can be easily flipped the wrong way. The screws and plastic inserts are small, hard to manage and seem very flimsy. It is metal construction, most likely aluminum and goes together well once you figure out which way it goes. The main rails (left right) on my bed are in opposite each other with the catch hole inside the frame now instead of outside. Theres a bolt that acts like a catch but its only useful if 1. its a hardwood floor 2. the floor isnt level for some reason. I guess? So it doesnt matter. What matters is that it went together the wrong way. The drawers took twice as long as they should have because there are four. Why. No idea. The two in the top side arent accessible because of the nightstands but I had to put them together anyway. The interiors of these handy, FREE/FLOATING rolling drawers is much smaller than it Could be. A full grown cat could easily walk around between the four drawers. Wasted space. The padding of the headboard, footboard and storage compartments is very thin. Looks nice, generally comfortable but thin. The most annoying part of this bed is that the headboard is FOUR INCHES too wide. Theres at least two inches on either side. NOT a queen size. LARGER than a queen. Awkwardly large, like big ears! It overlaps my windows and theres nothing I can do about that. The bed however, sits WAY TO LOW without a box spring unless youre 5 tall or a kid. I was lucky to get a twin on a metal frame when I was a kid so this is inappropriately sized. When I put the box spring back on, the headboard, at its highest setting still was WAY TOO LOW and did not clear my very low window sills. So Saturday the following week, I set to modifying the height of the headboard and the width of the rails that it attaches to with a few blocks of wood and some additional nuts, washers and 2.5 bolts. Two trips to the hardware store (cuz you never make just one), I managed to make it work. I honestly didnt want to spend a thousand dollars on a bed frame but in hindsight. I should never have bought this. BUYER BEWARE!
NOT an ADULT SIZED bed as is
