We ordered two. The packages looked pretty bad when they arrived at our door, but the actual sofas inside were in perfect condition. The cushions are firm, but we dont mind. They feel very sturdy and were pretty easy to put together. They do NOT look like futons. They look like cute vintage sofas. We are super pleased with the price and product. They look even better in real life than they do in the product image. Perfect for my needs.
