I bought this to use with a memory foam mattress. Assembly was easy and straightforward and the instructions were clear. Its all solid wood except for the center support underneath, which is metal. Ive had it 6 months now and there is absolutely no creaking or saying/bowing of any parts.
Some foam mattresses have a spacing requirement for between the support slats. As you can see from my pic, the space between the slats is 3 and 5/16 inches.
Im very happy with it and highly recommend it.
