The coffee table looks great and the lift top functions as it should. The only issue I had was it was missing the instructions on how to put it together but I was able to easily figure it out. Overall, I would buy it again.
First, this isnt a high quality table so it should not be judged as such. When getting a coffee table that cost 113 you should not have the expectations that it is going to be the best piece of furniture you have ever owned. Be Realistic.
Moving own. as others have mentioned. the styrofoam in this packaging is a NIGHTMARE. Its the kind that sticks to everything and breaks about what you touch it. Ive noticed that most of my items that are made overseas lately are coming this way. So once you clean it all up. and get everything out of the way then you can move on to putting the coffee table together.
Its simple enough with the instructions as most of it comes already put together. Its pretty sturdy given the cost of the product and since it is made with pressed chip board. As I stated in the beginning. you are getting what you are paying for.
This would be an AMING coffee table for a college apartment. It would make a nice coffee table for someone who is just starting out and doesnt have alot of money for furniture.
Two of the edges were chipped up when it arrived. But I just added some glue so it wouldnt chip anymore and painted it black. Other than that its a pretty sturdy table with a lot of storage. Nice hiding spot
Packaging: While Styrofoam did a good job protecting the parts from knicks and dings, it was a pain to deal with. I had to vacuum each piece as I took it out since there were little bits of Styrofoam everywhere.
The table comes in 8 pieces with screws, dowels, etc. It says that assembly takes two people but I was able to do it solo. All told it took over an hour to build (I did do one part upside down and had to take apart and redo.)
Overall, its a pretty good piece of furniture. I dont feel like its that sturdy but Im going to use it as a puzzle table so itll do fine. Having the lifting tabletop will be less of a pain in my back.
Relatively straightforward to put together, took a good part of an evening. Very heavy coffee table. Not great quality but decent. For the cost its a decent value. I love how the table rises, we eat a lot of our meals I. The living room and also pay bills and do homework so this feature is wonderful
I have been considering a coffee table for our living room for quite some time. This one is the perfect size for our space. We have a small sectional and didnt want furniture too heavy for the room. We love the color, texture, storage and functionality. We appreciate that it easily opens serving as a casual dinner space or as a work station for paperwork/laptop. It was extremely easy to assemble and is very sturdy. We are pleased with the qualify for the price its offered at. I will be ordering another for our basement in front of the fireplace. It would be a wonderful addition to enjoy a fireside drink, or to store marshmallows and Graham crackers for a convenient smore station. We love it!
I uploaded a video of the parts, it was very easy to put together , its basically 5 parts altogether. Cleaning up the styrofoam it came in was more work then putting the table together. This is a table more for dorm life or a teenagers room, its just not strong enough for every day real use living rooms. This table is a mix of pressboard and small amounts of real wood. It did have a few deep gashes in the top , however it came with a fill in pen, which I used and you cant see them unless you know they are there. The table works good with the lift up top, it is tight to push back down. I am sure that so it stays up for safety for use. This is a good table for those on a tight budget yet need and want a nice look of a coffee table. (see Video and photos)
Update: We ended up having to trash our coffee table because either we did not assemble it correctly or it did not hold up to our use. It became wobbly when we would move it and the sides would pull over. It was quite frustrating.
The product was easy to assemble and took less than thirty minutes for us to full assembly. It came with all of the necessary tools and hardware, and it even came with a pen for any damages that require a touch up. We actually did not need the pen, but were very happy with the end result, amount of storage, and the lift up capability that most coffee tables do not have. The color is a medium brown and is not too heavy to move or slide across our hardwood floor as needed. We actually used this item for a television stand for a short while. We are very happy with this product and its quality.
I love this coffee table! I was skeptical when it arrived because it looked like it might not be sturdy and also came in pieces. It took about 30 minutes to unpack and put the whole piece together. It required a screwdriver and a little bit of willpower to keep going through the process but I survived.
Once put together my first impression was that it was a solid and heavy piece / which is good! There was one tiny ding on one of the legs but it came with a touch up pen. Once I touched it up you couldnt even see the scratch.
The top lifts and goes back down with just a tiny bit of effort. My six year olds can lift it with ease. It has three cubby like compartments on the bottom which is nice for when you need to hide or store items. The inside of the top has three storage areas as well. A lot of storage in one piece!
We just love that we can have movie night on the couch and instantly turn our coffee table into a dining/snack table for the kids.
Overall, VERY HAPPY with this piece as it is so functional and easy to operate!
